Observation (Visual analysis):
Definition:
Observing something existing in real-life to figure out its characteristics.
Examples:
Watching sales-people to identify typical clothes, behaviour and common strategies
Interviews
METHOD
Interviewing a professional (Interview)
Asking questions to someone who knows a lot about the field you are researching, for example someone who works in the field
Examples:
Interviewing an ecologist working in a museum about nature stuff in Rotterdam and record his voice
How to use it:
> Find someone skilled (people who gave other interviews on the topic, people who get mentioned in articles (literary research), organisations) and find a date on which they are available
> Write down questions in advance
>Open questions instead of y/n
>Phrase questions neutrally
> Track the interview (Audio recorder, camera, notes, Questionnaire fill-in etc)
> Keep questions in mind but also let conversation evolve and don't force story

Letting other people work on your project (Experimental)
Definition:
Swapping projects with someone for a set amount of time to gain new approaches and insights
Exampes:
Asking another student to work on the design aspect of your character for an hour

> Let them know exactly which part of your work you want input on
> Let them know What you are unsure about and what definitely needs to stay (They are free to ignore that of course)
